Fine Garden Care

Thoughtful, horticulturally focused care for established gardens.

Fine Garden Care is at the heart of what we do. Our visits go beyond basic landscape maintenance, with careful attention to the health, appearance, and seasonal needs of your garden.

Services may include:

  • Hand weeding and garden bed care

  • Deadheading and seasonal cutbacks

  • Selective pruning of shrubs, perennials, roses, and small ornamental and fruit trees

  • Plant health and pest monitoring

  • Organic fertilization and soil amendments as needed

  • Mulch replenishment

  • Irrigation inspection and minor adjustments

  • Seasonal garden cleanups

  • General garden detailing and debris cleanup

Ongoing biweekly care is recommended for many gardens and allows us to care for plants proactively as they change throughout the seasons.

Fertilizers, soil amendments, mulch, plants, and other materials are billed separately.

We install and improve irrigation systems with an emphasis on plant health, water efficiency, and ease of use.

Services may include:

  • Irrigation modifications and repairs

  • Hydrawise-compatible systems

  • Battery-operated irrigation solutions

Irrigation recommendations are tailored to the plants, soil, exposure, and water needs of each landscape.

Artificial Turf Cleaning & Care

Artificial turf still requires maintenance to stay clean, fresh, and looking its best—particularly in homes with pets or heavily used outdoor spaces.

Our artificial turf cleaning service may include:

  • Removal of leaves and surface debris

  • Power brushing to lift flattened turf fibers

  • Removal of embedded debris

  • Pet hair and waste cleanup as needed

  • Enzyme treatment to help break down organic residue and control pet odors

  • Final grooming for a clean, refreshed appearance

Infill replenishment or replacement is available when needed and is billed separately.

Artificial turf cleaning is available as a one-time deep cleaning or as part of an ongoing maintenance schedule. Pricing is based on turf area, condition, access, and the level of cleaning required.

Garden Care & Landscape Services

Solo Service — $80/hour

Professional garden care and landscape services performed by the owner of Coastal Roots.

Two-Person Team — $140/hour

Ideal for larger garden care visits and projects where an additional landscape technician allows us to work more efficiently.

Design & Consultation

$80/hour

On-site consultations, garden and planting design, project planning, plant selection, irrigation planning, and other professional landscape guidance.

Projects & Installations

Landscape projects are individually quoted based on scope, site conditions, labor, materials, equipment, and other project requirements.

Plants, landscape materials, equipment, hauling and disposal, and other project expenses are billed separately as applicable.

Coastal Roots is proud to support the nonprofit organizations that care for and strengthen our Coastside community.

Eligible local nonprofits receive a $20/hour discount on our standard labor rates for garden care and landscape services.

Nonprofit Community Rates

Solo Service — $60/hour

Two-Person Team — $120/hour

Plants, materials, equipment, hauling, and other project expenses are billed separately at our standard rates.

Community rates are available to qualifying nonprofit organizations and are subject to availability.
